Get answers to common questions about Nose Piercing.
The appointment typically lasts 15-30 minutes including consultation, placement planning, cleaning, and the piercing itself. The piercing is very quick; we allow time for aftercare instructions and to select suitable hypoallergenic jewelry.
We use sterilized, single-use hollow needles performed by trained piercers; needle piercing allows precise placement and less tissue trauma. Piercing guns are not used because they can cause damage and cannot be properly sterilized for nose piercings.
We recommend hypoallergenic materials such as implant-grade titanium, 14k gold, or surgical steel for initial jewelry. Small studs or seamless rings minimize movement and irritation. Our piercers will help select the right size and style for comfortable healing.
Clean the area twice daily with sterile saline spray or saline soak, avoid touching or twisting the jewelry, and keep makeup, lotions, and pools away until fully healed. Follow our aftercare sheet and contact us with any signs of infection or unusual pain.
Healing times vary: nostril piercings commonly take 2-4 months to surface-heal, while septum or high cartilage piercings can take longer. Complete internal healing may take up to a year. Proper aftercare significantly affects healing duration and reduces complications.
Minors require parental consent and may be subject to local age regulations. Inform us of medical conditions, pregnancy, keloid history, or blood-thinning medications. We may require physician approval if you have health concerns to ensure piercing is safe for you.
